They follow the false light.

Astronomers gaze
Vampires wake
all under lunar lies.
They follow the false light.

Tides recede
Cheaters deceive
all under a starry sliver,
following the false light.

Nightmares scream
Goodness hides.
Quarter, half, or full
all phases of stolen sunshine.
